I have the honour to inform you

on receipt of your despatch No.282 of

the 6th October last, I caused the question

of the ownership of the foreshore of wirs

and Deep Bays to be referred to the LAW Of-

ficers of the Crown, in accordance with

your request.

Convention of 9th June, 1898, in their

opinion gave to Her Majesty the right to

the whole foreshore in Mirs Bay and Deep

Bay.
